Best Use Of “Giveaways” ...
Small businesses do not take full advantage of the many things that are going free. Strangely, they tend to pay for advertising when free publicity would have done the job. Some examples of getting free publicity are:
- Give free trials to people of influence. Often a free plug will work out better than one paid for.
- Donate something with your name on it.
- Provide prizes for the radio station. Just send them the prize - they’ll think of the competition.
- If you manufacture something small, give it away often.
- If you have two businesses, take every opportunity to dispatch free promotion for the other.
- Send a free rider with every monthly invoice. That’s free postage.
- Ask your satisfied client to recommend your business to some of his contacts. This especially applies to service industries.
Use the back of your business card to promote your business.
