A US business survey has found that workers want to raise productivity. When asked what factors could be changed to improve performance, they gave the following responses:
- 52% said that the answer lay in fellow worker’s attitudes and abilities.
- 37% said that the attitudes of the management needed changing.
- 60% felt that they would like to be more involved in the decision making process at work.
- 84% felt that if they were more involved in the decision making process, they would work better.
- 70% said that hard work would make a difference to the success of the company. However they did not generally feel that hard work would be noticed or rewarded by the management.
